4/18/09 - Saturday Wine Tasting: "A Good Kind of Green" Wines for Earth Day

Earth Day is April 22nd, so what better way to toast Mother Earth than by sipping wines from organic, biodynamic, and sustainable producers that will ensure those vineyards are around for future generations of wine-lovers to come? Our April Wine Club Selections are all wines that are "a good kind of green". Stop by any of our three stores this Saturday, April 18th, for a taste of these and a toast to our lovely planet!

Silverado Vineburg Chardonnay
Silverado's solar-powered, Napa Green certified winery turns out a ripe-yellow apple and orange-blossom-laden single-vineyard Chardonnay from their Vineburg vineyard in Carneros.

Argiolas Perdera Isola dei Nuraghi
Organically farmed grapes indigenous to the island of Sardinia called Monica, Carignano and Bovale Sardo make up this unique gem, with flavors and aromas of ripe berries, licorice, flowers and black pepper.

Duckhorn Migration Pinot Noir
This is a deliciously silky, lightly earthy and cherry-laden cool-climate Pinot Noir from the Anderson Valley, brought to us by our duck-lovin friends at Duckhorn vineyards.
