3/24 - Karl Wente Wine Pairing Dinner

Join us on Thursday March 24th at 6:30 PM as we welcome 5th generation winemaker, and guitar man Karl Wente to Wayne for a 5 course wine pairing dinner at DaVinci Restaurant.

Wente Vineyards is the country’s oldest, continuously operated family-owned winery that today draws from approximately 3,000 acres of sustainably farmed Estate vineyards to create an outstanding portfolio of fine wines.

Here are the details:

1st Course: Mushrooms stuffed with lump crab meat, finished in a Wente sauvignon blanc scampi sauce paired with 2009 Wente Vineyard Selection Sauvignon Blanc

2nd Course: Mesculin salad with roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and balsamic vinaigrette paired with 2008 Wente 1883 Chardonnay

3rd Course: Penne pasta in a pink champagne sauce paired with 2007 Wente Sandstone Merlot

4th Course: Filet mignon finished in a Wente cabernet sauvignon mushroom sauce paired with 2007 Wente 1883 Cabernet Sauvignon.

Dessert Course: Profiteroles (Italian cream puffs) with coffee or espresso and 2008 Wente Vineyard Selection Riesling
