Lidia Bastianich Matticchio (born February 21, 1947) is an American chef. She specializes in Italian-American cuisine, and became a TV celebrity with her cooking shows. She has been a regular contributor to the PBS cooking show lineup since 1998; in 2007, she launched her third TV series, Lidia's Italy. Each November, we like to dedicate a month of Wine Club to celebrating a very special, very fickle, and very delicious family of grapes: the Pinot family. The Pinot family consists of Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris/Grigio, and Pinot Blanc, along with the more obscure Pinot Meunier, often used in sparkling wines.
