An event you don't want to miss!

Gary's Wine & Marketplace's Grand Tasting is our biggest wine tasting event of the year and all the proceeds go to charity! This year's recipients include Gagnon Cardiovascular Institute at Morristown Memorial and the Interfaith Food Pantry.

This year's we're featuring over 500 wines, spirits, beer, a buffet, gourmet cheeses, and special "Spotlight Tables" in the Victorian Room!

In lieu of VIP seminars and colloquiums, this year we decided to let the wines do the talking and to let everyone in on the fun! With that in mind, the 2009 Grand Tasting will feature an entire room dedicated to wines from the finest vintages of the past decade and the critically acclaimed regions that produced them. Arrive early to experience the crème de la crème of the 21st century thus far, including:

2004 Brunello di Montalcino - Vintage Score: 97 points! A year "which produced wonderfully perfumed, majestically refined Brunellos with an excellent balance of fruit and superior tannins" - James Suckling, Wine Spectator

2005 Bordeaux - Vintage Score: 95-100 points! "One thing I am sure of after twenty-eight years of tasting Bordeaux wines every March is that 2005 cannot be compared to any previous vintage in my experience" - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

2007 Chateauneuf du Pape - Vintage Score: 98 points! Throughout the Southern Rhone 2007 is the greatest vintage I have tasted in my thirty years working in that region. - Robert Parker, Wine Advocate

GF Family of Wines - An entire table introducing our latest releases of a project of which we're quite proud: our very own Go Figure, Going Forward, and Grand Finale labels from some very prestigious partner wineries

Spottswoode - Lindy Novak of the esteemed Spottswoode winery in Napa Valley will be present to pour her highly sought-after Spottswoode and Lyndenhurst wines.

St. Supery tweetup at Gary's Wine & Marketplace in New Jersey

Join Rick Bakas from St. Supery winery at Gary's Wine & Marketplace in Wayne, New Jersey for good wine and good conversation, Wednesday evening, October 14 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm.

If you aren't able to attend in person, you can taste along online. St. Supery winery is based in Napa Valley, but will extend the winery experience to the east coast through a series of "tweet ups." This new idea combines wine, people, technology...good times! Even if you're low-tech, please come for wine, people and good times.

Madison Restaurant Week 2009 Starts October 4th

Madison Restaurant Week '09 runs Sunday, October 4 through Sunday, October 11, 2009. Choose your restaurant, make your reservation, then call Gary's for free wine delivery to the restaurant of your choice!

Participating restaurants will offer fixed price menus of $14."09" for lunch and $22."09" for dinner. The menus will include a minimum offering of 3 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 desserts from which to choose. Reservations are recommended to take advantage of this special offer. Mention should be made that the reservation is for "Madison Restaurant Week."

Participating restaurants include: SoHo33, Garlic Rose, Resto, Broccolini's, Begum Palace, Firehouse Family Restaurant, Rocco's Tuscany Grill, 54 Main, From Scratch, and Prospect Tavern, and David's Rumba Cafe.
